Drink was still building his team. Sure, he needed some play calling help from a functional booth. Our offense was good because of good continuity, a much improved LB3, getting Theo to replace Lovett, a serviceable QB, and a tough-as-nails walk-on. We also limited big turnovers to desperation plays where they are more or less expected. Our scheme was outside zone almost every play. Kirby did fine, but a lot of others would have done fine also.
