It’s hard to believe that Saban and Bama didn’t have an exit strategy for the GOAT

There is no way that Saban just showed up and said he was ready to hang it up. There has to be someone already hired right?

Conspiracy theorists are saying it’s Kiffin regardless of what others have said he burned bridges. They say that’s why he is staying in Tuscaloosa having a office in BDS to make sure Kiffin has it under control when he takes over.

So you think it’s Kiffin?

I thought it was going to be between the Washington coach or Florida St coach. I have no clue but if the athletic director knew about this 2 months ago I’m sure he and Saban have a plan in place. Saban told the players wait 72 hours before making a decision.

Don't really want to look like the mess Auburn and Tennessee coaching have been in recent years

I mean that's generally sound advice before making any major life changing decision.

Kinda hard to have an exit strategy when you decide to retire in the middle of your work day

Any good AD always has a list… That said, this is going to be a difficult hire to make.
Expectations are astronomical and Alabama fans are rabid and impatient.
