and Bama is playing Utah in an unhyped bowl with zero chance at the national title.
just an observation.

which year was he clearly better? LSU was AMAZINGLY talented in 2003, had a favorable schedule with most tough games at home, and still lost a game.
Bama had the same setup this year with much, much less talent and depth.

meh... 03 was better. who did they beat this year that was worth a crap other than uga who finished w/ 3 L's?

Just because he went undefeated doesn't mean it was his best coaching job.

doing so with muc less talent and depth does.

I respect the job he did....BUT, LSU, UT, and AU were way down this year.
Arky, though they beat LSU, was putrid when Bama played them and not good when LSU did.
Clemson was overrated.
Ole Miss was pretty good. UGA was just okay.
When they played UF, they lost.

Hate to do this, but your best 2 victories in 2003 were against a UGA team that finished with 3 Ls.

and neither of those wins were in Athens either....

can we get a, "bama's season was only good because our QB sucked and every one else was overrated" thread stickied at the top of the board?

When we were #24 and Got to #1 were we also "underated"??

I like how LSU fans think this bothers us. We went 12-1 this year and will be playing in our 56th bowl game with a chance to add a 9th Sugar Bowl trophy to the Bryant Museum.
Yes, what a horrendous year! We are so ashamed
