Totally agree. Fairley was disgusting in that game. If that makes him the dirtiest player, then you are right. I just don't recall any other games where he was dirty. Surely there are other examples of he can easily be called the dirtiest ever in the SEC. Please give more, thanks.

I didn't write Ward was the dirtiest player in the SEC, just wrote what he did to Brumbaugh was dirty. But Ward was know to be the dirtiest in the NFL

I did find one clip where he hit the Oregon QB and it was labeled dirty, but when I looked at it, I thought it was a clean hit. As the QB was getting up Fairley did push the QB's head back into the ground, but that's not much, imo.

Ward had a big reputation for being dirty in the NFL. I just don't remember it ever being said while in college. (That said, we didn't have as much media coverage as we do now, so it might be true, but just not mentioned in the local papers.) He mainly played QB in college his sophomore year and didn't move to WR until his junior year.
