Kiffin would've been told what his dx was and gone from there. It very much sounds like whatever was wrong with Rollin wasn't the kind of mental illness that prevents you from attending a meeting for weeks. That said, if it is something like schizophrenia, bipolar, or even very severe depression then there could be problems and Kiffin would be in hot water but as frustrated as Kiffin sounds I just don't think that's what he was dealing with.

This. I would find it hard to believe after his HC stops and all of the times he’s gotten crap/learned life lessons that Kiffin hadn’t properly consulted with the requisite experts there. But like you said. If it’s a mental illness in a certain tier and it wasn’t dealt with properly, they’re going to end up having to settle.
