If you can make it to NW Arkansas the next day or so is the time to do it. The trees have pretty much turned and we are having freakishly warm weather so you can enjoy the view without freezing your behind off.
Let us know if you do come through the area and we'll suggest some good places to eat. NW Arkansas is a foodies paradise.

Arksulli Thanks for the report !! 
I won't be able to get out that way this year but will keep this thread bookmarked. Last week was my small window to get away for a while . I have family in NW Arkansas and it definitly beautiful driving through that area.
