I think we tried really hard to get the UNC QB Drake Maye and missed because of his deep family ties to that school.

What about the Notre Dame qb from Wake Forest? Did he go to ND this year?

Can confirm this.
Mack Brown was bitching about how elite schools (i.e he meant us) are trying to "bribe" Maye to come over to them
I was hoping to grab Maye but it was probably never coming to fruition anyways due to his closeness with UNC and Mack Brown. i'd imagine it'd be hard if your family went to UNC and leaving it all behind
