re: How can folks afford to live their lives today?

I'm a Dave Ramsey listener and he made a profound statement in a video I watched today. Something like "if you're waiting for a POTUS of a different party to improve your financial situation you've conceded your finances over to something that you can't control. You are in control of your finances."


Obviously, there is some truth in this, but don't pretend who is running things doesn't matter. Did moving from Carter to Reagan make a difference? Did moving from Trump to Biden make a difference? Biden set up an inflation firestorm right out of the gate with his actions, and the impact of that has been profound.
