In the SEC, both programs must accept that at a minimum, half of their league games are guaranteed to be as good if not better than whatever product they put on the field. Likely more.

Texas was the better team on Saturday, but I don't think they're prepared to sustain the grind of a full SEC schedule, especially if we expand to 9 league games after 2024.
Today, there is 1 SEC team with a better roster than Texas. Who am I forgetting?

The NFL draft for Texas next year: QB, TE, OT, WRx2, DLx3/4, LBx1/2, DB.

Texas faced 4 NFL 1st round DL last year, 1 of which played in the SEC.

With a favorable schedule that includes multiple games against FCS schools and Georgia v. A&M, and many others playing once every 12 years, the SEC big 3 or 4, little 10 or 11, is not the gauntlet y'all make it out to be.

Aggy beat Alabama at home in Yr 1 and Mizzou won the SEC-East Yr 1&2. They transitioned ok.

Aggy v. the B12 South, is not much different than the SEC-W. Against the B12 South, Aggy won 40% on the road, 60% at home, and 50% overall. They had losing road records against Texas, OU & TTech (3 of 5).

Texas is noticeably better, even considering this includes the worst stretch in over 120 years of football. Against the B12 South, Texas won 69% on the road, 74% at home, and 65% overall. OU is a neutral site game. Texas has a winning road record against other every B12 South opponent.

Texas was also 4-0 in Lincoln, 3-0 in Boulder & 3-2 in Columbia.

As you noticed, Texas plays well on the road:
Texas ending Alabama's 21 game home winning streak and 57 game regular-season non-conference streak now gets added to ...
Texas ending Nebraska's 47 game home winning streak, and
Texas ending Ohio State's 36 game non-conference home winning streak, and
Texas ending USC's 34 game winning streak.
That's sittin' in some pretty high cotton, don't you think?

The 34-24 score doesn't reflect the beating Texas gave Alabama.

In a few months, a lot of you guys are going to eat crow about Alabama, again. You underestimated the team Texas has, and you're underestimating Alabama & Saban.
