Put aside ur ego and come play for a winner.

Playing for UT is a winner. UT has been to Omaha more times than anyone else in the SEC the last 3 years(2 of 3). Yes Vitello hasn’t won’t the Natty yet. But he’s closer than anyone that hasn’t won it.
Let’s take a look at the last 5 coaches that won Nattys at any level and see how long it’s taken them compared to where Vitello is at.

Jay Johnson- first HC job was 2005. Won 1st natty 2023. “18 years”
Mike Bianco- 1st HC job was 1998. Won 1st title 2022. “24 years”
Chris Lemonis- 1st HC job 2015. Won 1st Natty 2021. “Won it 7th year”.
Tim Corbin- 1st HC job 2003. Won 1st Natty 2014. “11 years”
Pat Casey- 1st HC job 1988. Win 1st Natty 2006. “18 years”

Vitello- just completed his 5 year as HC. Still has plenty of time left to win a Natty compared to the others listed above. I like his chances to get one in less time than it took the others.
