If I’m not bad mistaken I think Alabama was missing the guy that had started at Middle Linebacker all year. Maybe you can confirm for me since it was so long ago but Oliver and Stallings kinda come up with this complicated game plan and then the starting Middle Linebacker has a car wreck during bowl practice and is out for the game.

That was the greatest Defense in the history of college football in my opinion and the gameplay you mentioned that Stallings and Brother Oliver came up with for that game was the greatest game plan in the history of college football. That plan couldn’t be done with just any group of guys. They made it look easy that night though.

I didn’t remember that part. I remember Curry and Copeland and that secondary just locking the Canes down. Lemanski Hall and Antonio London were LBs if I remember correctly. I believe Tommy Johnson had a killer game also along with Teague and Langham.

Michael Rogers was the leading tackler and missed the Sugar Bowl. Pretty sure he had a car wreck where someone else died.
