If there were a shed of evidence that Miller ever saw that text before arriving, and the police and the district attorney 100% could get that timing info from his phone

I mean let’s not be dumb about this. If the guy didn’t check the text, as has become the canned Bama message board defense, then the Bama athletic department and Miller’s own lawyer would be shouting this from the mountain top every single day because it would immediately exonerate him. The fact that no one will even address it or answer questions about it tells you he checked it. Most likely, he’s flipped on his boys and he’s going to get a pass on that one. It’s not that hard to connect the dots.

For the record, I’m sure our fans would be acting the same way if it were us because all any of us really want to do is win and we can explain away anything when we really try.

I really don't see much difference if he checked it or not considering he had about 3 minutes max while driving to come to the conclusion that friend of his was about to be involved in a murder based on a single text.

It's like the end of the Sully movie. Everyone wants to judge someone in hindsight after knowing what occurred.

I’ve said for weeks that I think he did in fact read the text before the shooting for the reasons you stated. But it is just as likely he saw it after arriving as it is that he read it immediately. Acting like he had comprehensive knowledge of the situation while he was presumably already on the way is disingenuous

Also as stated earlier, Miller arrived to a relatively calm situation

Do you mean like wait for those pesky little things like Facts? Something that takes the hearsay out of the truth?

My question to you is why is the rant in a rush to judgment? Why is waiting for the facts and both sides' defenses such a non-option? You simply want someone punished BEFORE all the facts are uncovered.

Petulance and senseless repetition are the traits of a child. And Emotionally on the rant, we are still wetting the bed over here.

I don’t know why so many of our fans are fixated on this issue. It’s part of the story, sure, but not the entire story. Absolutely, Miller’s attorney should use this however they may, but common sense tells me Miller likely saw that text before the gun was retrieved in his car (perhaps after he parked, but maybe not). But even if we all accepted that as fact, I still don’t think this is as bad for Miller as his put-him-in-jail lemmings (who appear to be hopelessly brainwashed) say it is, for the following reasons:

(1) Miller was already enroute to the ultimate scene of the crime when the text was sent. That really weakens any claim that he went there with the intent to partake in anything nefarious. He headed that direction to pick up his (dumbass) friend. (2) The other car wasn’t there when he arrived. Depending on when exactly the gun was retrieved (before or after the other car creeped in behind him with the lights off) he could reasonably assume it was either safe to give back to his (dumbass) friend OR it would be used for self defense. He had absolutely no way of understanding what was going on in that moment.

The vocal anti-Bama/Miller camp which seems to suggest this is an open-and-shut deal has been clearly and transparently disingenuous and willfully ignorant during this entire story. Their application of hindsight to a complicated chain of events lacks any semblance to logic, fairness, or living in reality. I also think many of our fans, while correct that the virtue-signaling anti-Bama camp really doesn’t give a shite about the truth, could be much better itself at common sense here. In hindsight, the two other Bama players who were around the scene when this escalated should have probably been suspended pending an internal investigation and reinstated when more facts became clear. That may or may not have resulted in some missed games, but UA should have done something to signal they were taking this seriously. That said, I wonder if any of UA’s counsel would have advised against such an action as it could be construed as an admission of guilt in the court of public opinion or even the basis for future civil litigation.
