The @SEC played.....
The Big 12 Champion
The Big 12 Runnerup
The Big 10 Runnerup
The ACC Champion
4-0 & outscoring them 204-48.
When they go to a 12 team playoff it's just a matter of time before it's 3 or 4 SEC teams in the Final 4.
Not all CFB conferences are created equal

Couldn't agree more. That's why there needs to be more cross-conference games during the regular season.

Is this the guy that made comments about that ex-player's wife on air?

In ten years Dan Wolken “ For player safety and to upend Sec dominance we need a computer/poll system that just picks the best top two teams.”

I feel like back in the day there were way more cross conference games between "major conferences". Teams used to play 2-3 a year
I just went to winsipedia and just looked up some random years in the 80s, LSU played Florida St, Rice (SWC) and Washington to start 1983. They played Arizona, USC, and Notre Dame in 1984. Texas A&M, UNC, and Notre Dame in 1986. Texas A&M, Ohio State, and Miami in 1988
What happened to that? Now every team gets maybe one of those if we're lucky most of the time and never more than 2. Some just load up on G5 and FCS teams.

There is no reason to play those games when it could knock you out of playoff contention. That's why Michigan canceled their game with UCLA. Why make your path harder when you will get punished for it?

If every P5 conference team has to play minimum 2 P5 OOC games then theoretically that should even out for everyone. 9 game conference schedule, 2 P5 teams, then a charity game against a G5 team to help the lower schools fund their seasons and maybe preserve some rivalries like Colorado/CSU. There should never be a P5 vs FCS matchup. That would be hard to mandate across all the conferences though and you could argue they'd just try to target the bottom tier teams in those conferences like Vandy or Northwestern but there's not enough of them to go around for everyone and even then sometimes even those teams can have a random good team to where you can't just coast against them.
And play them on the damn campus. Had to sit through Southern, New Mexico and UAB this year
