I’m sorry to hear about your father.

My family gives a good chunk to Bama every year. I just don’t think I’ll be as invested anymore. It starts to consume everything. I think I’m going to take a step back and enjoy from a further distance. I love the school and team but this following level of what we expect for the program makes me miserable.

Thanks, Boz. I wasn’t trying to draw attention to it. Just conveying that it’s going to be ok. I think about what my dad said when we beat Notre Dame for the NC. Something along the lines of, “I’ve waited my whole life to see us beat them.” That was awesome in itself but he and I started to lay off trying to micromanage Alabama football after that. He lived through both dynasties and the valleys between. Perspective is important. If it makes you miserable then what’s the point. FWIW I’ve enjoyed your posts. On to Ole Miss. I still think Lane is waiting for the job.
