Not necessarily. If UT and Bama run the table, meet in ATL and Bama wins in a rematch, there’s no way UT drops out of the top 4 and Bama would be in as SEC Champs with one loss.
Not likely to happen but not out of the realm of possibilities.

I agree with this. UT would not be punished for splitting with Bama.
