She ran towards him and into him. He shouldn’t have hit her but he didn’t attack her. She made first contact. It appeared to be unintentional but he’ll say she said something to indicate it was intentional.

I could not tell by the video, but what I have read in news reports was that she was walking around him and not at or into him. Nevertheless, I would hope he gets hit harder on the field by the other team than he did by a girl with no pads on.

I’ve mentioned this multiple times now but I’ll say it again. She could’ve had a weapon. It’s one of the reasons the SEC has such a big fine for rushing the field. I don’t think he was afraid she had a weapon but he’ll likely say he was and that’s enough to be thrown out in court.

If he thought she had a weapon and was in fear of her, he would not have reached out to hit her. He would have tried to get away from her. He did not.

I have no problem with players tackling someone that goes onto a field DURING a game. The girl should not have gone on the field but it was AFTER the game. This seems lost on you.

Can a player knock someone down that runs into their space on a field after a game? Absolutely.
Except shew as walking around him not into him. I mean...it was crowded. I get it. But i have to tell you I played a lot of football and came into contact with literally hundreds of fans on the field after a game and managed to not hit a single one of them and never felt threatened.

Look. I get it. He was mad because they got beat. That is what this is all about. he got mad and lashed out at her.
