Great game Vols, here's my take away from the experience

The ole lady surprised me with 2 tickets to the game last Thursday. We tail gated in Circle Park, white tent #36. We were with about 3 other Bama fans and the rest were die hard Vols.
I must say, it was an AWESOME atmosphere. The weather was freaking perfect and the fans were good people (except 2 yahoos in the stands yelling obscenities at us for walking to our seats)
The game was mind boggling frustrating, but the surrounding fans were nothing but great and welcoming.
It sucks we lost the way we did, but it wasn't the end of the world. I've never seen so many fans crying tears of joy.
The fans rushing the field, the goal posts coming down, the cigar smoke mixed with the fireworks.... insanely cool.
Look forward to our rematch in Atlanta. Go beat UGA and Kentucky.
TL;DR, amazing game, atmosphere and people all around.

1. Old Lady's definitely a keeper. 2. Glad you had a good time despite the loss and the occasional yahoo. 3. What a night. Regardless, of what side you're on that game was what college football is all about. Just a perfect moment that doesn't come around very often.

The ONLY thing I would consider being "petty" was the scoreboard operators refusal to show ANY replay that involved a crucial Bama play. Like, why?
Also, you couldn't hear the ref over the speakers in our section (visitors).
I mean I get the whole "this our house" thing, but there were times that we legitimately had no idea what was going on.
The 3rd down 4th down debacle was unbeknownst to every one where we were sitting because there was no replay being shown, or information being relayed via the screens. I had zero idea what was going on until we got home and watched it on Sportscenter. I just thought it was a stupid long TV time out.
Also, they didn't show Bama's band on the board during halftime either.
Is that typically how it's done in Neyland? Genuinely curious.
Either way, that's a small grievance compared to how bad arse everything else was.
This dude had a humongous pig on a leash walking around the GameDay set!! Anybody else see that?

Good shite OP. I don’t believe there could’ve been a cooler way to beat the streak than exactly how it played out. I would’ve bet every single thing I own VOLS were going to lose when it was 35-34 and Bama picked off Hooker, and then especially when the Turner housed the fumble to make it 49-42.
I don’t know how long it was in real time, but from the last Bama first down before the FG miss all the way to McGrath’s GW kick on the other end feels like a complete blur to me 5 days later

TRUTH.
Did you get a chance to go? If so, you could just tell there was some weird voodoo in the air. I thought I was at Jordan-Hare for a second haha.
I can not believe how undisciplined and out of place our secondary was...
Oh wait, I think Hyatt just scored again while typing this out.
All the Bama fans in the stand were like "um... here's a novel idea... how about you don't let that Hyatt guy get behind you again" after his 3rd touchdown.
UT fans behind us were even saying "wtf is Bama doing?!"
Haha we were all laughing our butts off at how ridiculous and awesome the game was becoming.
I'm still sore from jumping up and down the whole game, especially after that pick from Kool-Aid that got called back.
And I am definitely, emotionally butt sore sad. Butt sad, if you will haha

I was like and that's how it ends. So close to pulling it off. I just knew that despite everything else we'd responded to that that was the death blow.

Sadly no I did not. I went to the Gators game and as awesome as that was, I doubt it was in the same stratosphere as TSIO.
I didn’t get in from a work related trip until extremely late fridee night and chose to watch the game alone Saturday which actually was pretty fun and a wise choice in hindsight. I had forgotten just how emotionally invested I am when VOLS are actually really good and there’s Bama blood in the water

100% feel this same way.
We planned a camping trip months ago for this weekend (mostly because I expected us to have 2-3 losses already) and I was using it as a distraction, but it didn't work well. I was pacing around the campsite listening to people yell at their tvs and radios, and finally the Mrs. told me to just go away because I was stressing everyone out.
It sucks being a fan, and it's awesome being a fan.

Same buddy. That was every non blowout TSIO loss of my lifetime wrapped into one play. The air getting sucked out of Neyland, VOLS shooting themselves in the foot and Alabama making us pay. I was so sick to my fricking stomach I wasn’t even excited when we tied it at 49 because I just knew Alabama was going to march down and score with no time remaining.
The complete 180 of emotions I had when that kick started drifting right can’t even be put into words. And I think it’s eerie and almost poetic how that ball traveled almost the exact same as Medley’s from the 2015 Florida game in the swamp (and was kicked from basically the same spot).
Just unreal.
