What's the deal with Smart and Beamer

Apparently there is not a good relationship there. Anyone know why?

My guess would be it’s because Kirby is blood brothers with Muschamp. And there’s some things Beamer has done and said since replacing Muschamp that are disappointing. You also have to always ask yourself why the media singles someone out to fawn over and uplift when they’ve done zero yet to deserve it. And that’s exactly what the sports media has done with Beamer “for some reason”.

Insider guy on other board says Shane didn't meet kirbeys expectations in regards to effort for the coaching staff. Also said the Luke Ford situation caused some strife
I mentioned this in the game thread,but last year when we beat them and beamer had that viral clip praising all of the talent we have and basically saying the only reason they lost is because UGA has better players. I could see that rubbing Kirby the wrong way too. Basically implying anybody could win with our players and not giving Kirby any credit.

When beamer was here he complained that they worked too hard. Beamer didn't like the grind that came with recruiting at an elite level. So Kirby told him to work somewhere else. That's the way I've read it anyway, who knows if that's true or not. All I do know is that there doesn't seem to be any love lost between them. Kirby was running reverse passes and throwing for the end zone late.

Also remember that Kirby’s other blood brother, Michael Bobo, was interim HC at SC after Muschamp got fired . And when lil’ Beamer got hired he wanted Bobo to stay on as OC. But Bobo wanted nothing of it and ran for his life to auburn for a lateral job

I think it's part of his plan to get USCe more exposure for recruiting, he says yes to everything. And honestly he isn't a bad interview. He was on the Atlanta station this week and was pretty candid compared to your normal robot coachspeak interview
