Both QB's were mobile and capable of the Qb scramble. Its no wonder the voters dropped the vols so far.

The old NCAA stat website doesnt include future stats, but dont let that distract you from the fact that the Vols lost to a weakened 8-3 team. Thats the story here.

Doesn't matter. Gameplan changed when Davey went out. Maybe he was a comparable runner but he wasn't effective earlier in the year running or in the SECCG.

This one does right here.

Amazing, yet 2001 is all that matters, and LSU lost the SEC leader in TD's.

The only thing we have settled today is that you in fact are truly Volsessed. 14 pages talking about the 2001 Tennessee Volunteers.

No one besides the most homer of Vols would claim the 2001 Vols would have been a playoff team.

Sorry, baw. This guy would've.

https://tiptop25.com/fixing2001.html

The BCS was a clusterfrick in 2001 after the VOLS lost in the SECCG. Any of the top 6 final BCS teams would have an argument for being included in a 4 team playoff. Unless you're Volsessed then of course Vols had no shot.

From your 2001 era article:

"So in the end, the contenders to play 11-0 Miami, who had avoided a final-game upset themselves when Virginia Tech missed a late 2-point conversion, were 10-1 Oregon (AP#2), 10-2 Colorado (AP#3), and 11-1 Nebraska (AP#4)."

Not seeing the vols, vawl.

Oof - as if the AP poll or BCS have changed in the last few hours.

But I'll let you continue to believe you're bringing up new talking points if that makes you happy.

There is nothing new to discuss about the 2001 season in 2022, but that was an odd link considering it was an ancient post about the final poll, which no one has been discussing.

It fits you to a T. You post mostly wrong statistics then scream "Vawls suck not in AP or BCS top 4 baw" rather than owning up to it.

To sum this thread up, 1998 is the new 1980, and it is unlikely the Vols make a playoff in 2001, which you cant admit due to being a homer.

Must suck to have to rely on blowing a shot in 2001 vs backups as a bragging point in 2022.

Doesnt suck at all to be 1980 champs, but when you are defending 2021 champs, its hard to think about forever as the great feeling is just so fresh.
