Upgraded intake manifold and throttle body
Today I found a FAST LSXR intake manifold and agreed on a darn good deal. With the stock manifold and the exact same build, my engine put down 540 HP. Mine should be in the 550-560 HP range

The '96 "lt1" engine was a small block 350 5.7 liter engine. Came with 275 hp. Very hard to get 500 hp from a small block. It was also a 48mm throttle body with max rev 5700 rpm.
The CAMARO LT1 SERIES (2016?)came with a 376 ci 6.2liter fuel injected
With over 500 hp@ 6000 rpm.
HP + weight is key. I had a 69 firebird 565 hp. 2700 lbs plus 565 hp gave me a 6.1 et in 1/8 mile at 109 mph.
