Saban has a history of bitching and whining and always ends up looking prophetic on the back end.

He is as strategic minded as it gets among the CFB ranks. There aren't wasted words or "bad moments." He doesn't ramble in interviews, he sends a message to the audience he is targeting.

Message I heard was, "we're in a good spot, but getting outmaneuvered in all that NIL can do for the talent pool. I appreciate your donations, but we need to pony up in a different way... now."
