Only complaint for me was the term “Bought”. While educated people know what he was saying, the Jimbo’s of the world misrepresented his statements. To induce high school recruits to play for your school by offering money from “Boosters” is not really a purchase of a player, only his services. I am not sure if Saban used the term on purpose in order to make a point or if he just misspoke but it makes little difference. A&M is guilty of using NIL to recruit. Legal in Texas, I hear. Funny that you can’t wear a hat in the Alamo or swim the river in San Antoine but Texas laws encourage the breaking of NCAA bylaws.
