We all would like to be Alabama and claim as many as we can.
According to the site LINK that a UGA fan listed, consensus national champions since 1950 (don't know why they started with that date).

Alabama - 13
LSU - 4
Florida - 3
Auburn - 2
Georgia - 2 (counting this year)
Tennessee - 2
Arkansas - 1
Ole Miss - 1

The only year that I wish Alabama wouldn't claim is 1941. All the others are consensus or the early Rose Bowl wins/championships.

For the record I have no problem with Alabama claiming championships. No matter what method anybody uses they are still way above everybody else.

Not sure why that site (I couldn't get the site to come up. (The official site is [link=(www.ncaa.org)]NCAA.org[/link] That one goes all time I think and shows Georgia's 1942 and some others.)
