Say the ncaa comes and limits our scholarships severely. Would that stop us from regrouping in the transfer market?

I mean, the exact same way it would stop us from bringing in freshman on scholarship. A scholarship is a scholarship. A player doesn't not count as a scholarship just because he transfers in.

Even if they limited us to say 11 scholarships over a couple years (down 2 each year, which would be very very harsh), we just have to go really heavy on transfers to have depth on the team because we cant really carry freshmen needing to be developed much at that point, because when you factor in 1-2 injuries a year, you need a solid 8 guys in your rotation. If you're down to 11 scholly guys, and you can expect 1-2 injuries. You want to carry at least 9-10 guys you think can play at any point and give you quality minutes, which means you are pretty limited on taking freshmen who might not be able to contribute right away.

We have no idea who is staying and going still right now for sure, but my bet is whoever the new coach is will probably be looking at anywhere from 4-8 transfers to come in.
