No way you can say it takes luck (more or equivalent) to win a Reg Championship than a 6 game tourney where another team might slay the better team before you play them.

Would you be as adamant about this if Auburn didn't win the regular season title?
Another team might slip up and win some games they shouldn't, but that's not always the case. You're playing them all in a 6 game stretch. You're not playing top 5, 10 teams all 18 games in conference. Both are impressive, but there's a reason you don't see John Wooden type runs anymore.
