This is correct. The only thing negatively you can associate with Ricks is he isn't a rah-rah locker room guy. Who gives a frick. He is a unanimous first team All-SEC corner and possible Thorpe award winner.

I'm not going to lie, I am melting hard over him transferring. He was a day one starter, played his arse off, and was on his way to being a top 10 NFL pick. He left for no reason other than to play on a better team in his final season.

It absolutely sucks for LSU that he left. He is the epitome of everything wrong about the new transfer rules.
He will not be closer to home, he will not get any additional playing time, not get any more national media attention, and arguably not improve his chance at being drafted any higher.

And to make this not sound like sour grapes, this is somewhat similar to us getting Greg Brooks from Arkansas. At least with Brooks he will be playing closer to home in his home state.
