Absolutely.......

1950 0-10

1951 5-5 Shug first year

1952 2-8 year two ......notice the fall ......All Sophomores ....

Then starts the string of 7-4 until 1957 and 1958.

When someone like Gus and Harsin have gutted a program ....It takes time to mend fences at high school levels ......to have coaches tell their kids to look to you. ....Especially now since the surrounding schools have seen SEC Recruiters every year.

This will take time .....

My Gandfather coached with Shug 1951 til 1959.

I sat at night and listened to the stories from Coaches who were actually there,

We were so Auburn ......when my cousin was being courted by every school in the SEC.......my Great Aunt chased the last coach out of the house with a broom ......Bear Bryant could still run at that time......Don went to Auburn.

This defense out played themselves Saturday ......like the offense, they each needed one more.
