Typically, yes. But you have to remember that King didn’t just enter the portal. As you have pointed out, he quit.

King had to be allowed back and Caddy did that. My point is that Caddy probably had a better perspective on the situation than fans like you and I. And if King is allowed back then my bet is that we don’t know everything. That’s all

Cadillac is Mr. Auburn at this point. No way he allows back a guy that isn’t worthy. He has nothing to gain. And my guess is that King won’t be the last guy that quit that gets to come back.

I hope you're right but I am questioning how committed King is going forward.

I grew up when playing time depended on performance so I'll just get back to getting people off my lawn.

Good night.

Good point. I always saw King perform better than average when given the chance on the field. Maybe he took a stand when others didn't. Guess none of us really know.

I get both sides but in my opinion to say he quit is accurate, but ignores context.

Did he quit? Yes.

Was he an impactful player this year? No

Did he negatively affect the locker room? No

Are we going to need bodies next year? Yes

Will it work out well for everyone. Basically yeah:
-Harsin trying to burn redshirts might have sped up the firing process.
- If nothing else, King got an NIL deal by OTV shortly afterwards ( took that as an FU to the active coach, Harsin).
- We will have an extra body at TE next year.

Lemons to Lemondade kind of stuff.
