Did you watch him in the Spring game or any of the open scrimmages? Malik could not execute a simple zone read. He made up his mind if he was keeping it or handing it off before the snap. Don’t get me started on his passing and reading defenses.

Malik progressed far more than I ever imagined and I am rooting for him in the NFL.

But Ashford is a better runner, a better passer, a better fumbler, and a better athlete than Malik was at the end of year 2.
