15. Nick Marshall, Auburn
(Last week's rank: NR)
It's hard for a quarterback to toss the ball seven times and make this list, but Marshall's 214 rushing yards is certainly worthy of recognition. He single-handedly carried Auburn to a win over Tennessee, while displaying a rough and rugged running style that is problematic for opponents in the open field. For the Tigers to win the big games remaining on their schedule, Marshall will have to do more as a passer, but it's hard to knock him for his sensational performance as a runner last weekend.

It will be interesting to see how Marshall develops as a passer after an entire offseason with Malzahn and his WRs.
People always forget that he came to Auburn just a few weeks before the season started. He's made some bad decisions this year, but a lot of his big overthrows can be attributed to bad mechanics and not being in sync with his WRs.
Cam Newton got to Auburn in January 2010 and the first thing he did when he got here before even the team workouts started was take his WRs to the practice fields for a couple hours a day and throw routes over and over. That was huge for him that season, at times during 2010 it was like he was on the same brainwave as Darvin and T-Zach

I think we'll figure exactly how far NM has progressed against UGA. He hasn't had to pass since A&M on OCTOBER 19, which is almost a month ago. In the past month, a lot could have changed. I know he's had a few mistakes when he has passed since A&M, but it's really hard to gauge it when the pass plays were so few that no groove or rhythm could be developed. I'm really looking forward to seeing how he has progressed, because I know he looks like a 100% different runner now than he did at the start of the season.
