The next big timer at Valdosta put on a show at several different positions on Sunday. Measured in at 6-foot-3, 204 pounds and ran a 4.62 40 into the wind. He was tough at Tight End for any LB to match up with. He will likely play hybrid WR this year for the Wildcats.

2019 DB from Tampa, Florida has some offers but I would expect more to come his way. He ran as many reps as the coaches would allow him and covered everyone from a safety spot on defense. He measured in 6-foot-1, 186 pounds.

A name I was not familiar with in the 2019 class caught everything that came his way on Sunday. Tremendous ball skills in a 6-foot-2, 180 pound frame.

2021 OL from Wayne County has again performed well in front of 247Sports. He has good size at 6-foot-3, 259 pounds. He will get some long looks this summer on college campuses.

Trevor Lovett

Another 2021 QB that played on the field for his high school team this year in Georgia. He didn’t start fast on Sunday but he finished that way. He spins it well and was accurate in the 1 on 1 session of the camp.

2019 DE from Benedictine in Savannah is collecting offers and we saw why. He has a great first step but was even better with his hands during the 1-on-1 OL/DL drills.

Just a shade under 6-foot-4, 204 pounds this 2020 athlete from Berrien in South Georgia more than held his own Sunday. His length was a problem for smaller DB’s trying to cover him.

K’Darious Poole

2020 prospect from Palatka, Florida was not the biggest guy in the linebacker group on Sunday but he can run and he is an athlete. He may project better long term as a box safety but he is smooth and can break on a ball in a hurry.

Tate Rodemaker

2020 QB from Valdosta almost took the same path as Lovett did by not starting out the best but he finished with a flurry of great throws in the showcase to earn an award from the coaching staff. He should have a big junior season for the Wildcats.

2020 WR from Monroe High School in Albany was another one that stood out in that WR group. Close to 200 pounds he used his body to shield defenders all day long. He also has a very big catch radius.

Four-Star LB De'Gabriel Floyd excited for upcoming Big 12 trip (247)
quote:

De'Gabriel Floyd had a very good junior season and is easily among the top recruits out West.

Floyd, a four-star prospect and rated the No. 38 player in the country by the 247Sports Composite, recently transferred from Golden Valley in to Westlake and said it has been a great transition so far.

"Things are going great here," Floyd said. "I'm doing what I came here to do and that was get my academics going in the right direction and things are going good in that area so I'm really loving it so far."

On the recruiting front, Floyd hasn't set up any official visits yet but has a big unofficial visit coming up this week.

"I'm going to Texas's Junior Day this coming weekend," Floyd said. "I'll be out there the 17th and 18th and really looking forward to the visit. Texas just offered earlier this month so I'm excited to get out there and see the school up close.

"I don't really know about any other schools I'll visit but I know I want to see Auburn. They just offered recently and that's a big time program in the SEC. I had a good talk with T-Will (Travis Williams, LB coach) and I'm excited to get out there and see what's it like."

Floyd was a one-time USC commit but if he stays local, UCLA looks to have the better shot.

"The schools I'm talking the most right right now are Oregon, Texas, TCU and UCLA," Floyd said. "I have high interest in UCLA and I'm excited about coach Pellum being the LB coach there. He visited me when I was still at Golden Valley and I'm going to look at them for sure.

"Coach Heyward (Oregon DB coach) came out to see me at Westlake and I have a good relationship with him and TCU is another school that is pushing hard for me. The main things I'm looking for in a school are a great family environment, a place where I'll be comfortable at and I want a chance to be an impact player and hopefully compete for playing time early."

Not getting hopes up yet on a Cali kid but cool to see he's excited about AU & interested in visiting

AUBURN - No. 3 in SEC, No. 12 nationally

The Good: Auburn signed 24 and a had a relatively quiet National Signing Day, but they really brought in a lot of skill guys. Asa Martin, Joey Gatewood, Matthew Hill and Seth Williams are a few to be excited about. Gus Malzahn and Chip Lindsey will have plenty of guys to build an exciting offense with in this class.

The Bad: Offensive line may be a concern in this class. The Tigers really wanted to add another tackle, but didn’t in the end. That, and losing Justyn Ross, the top prospect in their state to Clemson, were the two biggest disappointments.

Georgia coastal LB Kalen Deloach has exploded with offers (Rivals)
quote:

Alabama was last to offer. Before that was Michigan. Boston College and Cincinnati threw their name in the hat that same week. You get the picture.

Kalen Deloach is one of the hottest 2019 prospects in the state of Georgia and he is closing in on 20 offers.

The 6-foot-1 205 pound linebacker out of Savannah (Ga.) Islands had 168 tackles, 27 tackles for loss, 17 sacks, nine forced fumbles and two interceptions his junior season. Those numbers will draw a prospect a lot of attention.

As Signing Day (February 7) progressed, Nick Saban and Larry Fedora called to check on Deloach. Ohio State called as well. The attention Deloach is receiving is not what he expected at this point in the recruiting process.

"Going into Christmas break, I had two or three offers, so it has been pretty crazy the last few weeks," said Deloach. "Most of my offers came in during January and I did not expect it to happen this fast.

"In January, it seemed like every day I was picking up a new offers. Coaches from different schools were stopping by to talk to my coach about me, to check on me and things like that, so it feels great to see my hard work is paying off. I really did not expect this."

Deloach has talked to a lot of coaches and he is hearing how they like his speed, how he can play sideline to sideline and how he plays a physical brand of football.

Ohio State has talked to him about that and the Buckeyes will have the talented linebacker up for a visit February 16. Not only will he get to spend time with the coaches, but he will see family too. Deloach has a strong connection at Ohio State.

"My sister (Taylor Deloach) runs track at Ohio State, so I have been up there before. I have been to one game and I like the atmosphere they play in. It is loud in the Horseshoe, the fans always show up and I like that.

"I have been talking to coach [Alex] Grinch a lot the last few weeks and he is the coach who offered me. He and the football staff did not even know my sister went there until I told them, so that was funny. I want to get up there, check them out more and just spend time with coach Grinch and the coaching staff."

Will Muschamp and South Carolina had Deloach on campus last month. He has visited Columbia a handful of times now, so he has a good feel for it is like there.

Deloach is starting to get comfortable with the Gamecocks.

"I have been there for some games and I was just at their last Junior Day and I like it there. Their fans are crazy, the atmosphere is loud and I like it on game-day. I talk to coach Coleman Hutzler, the linebackers coach and we have a good relationship. I have been up there as much as I have anywhere and I like it."

It is very early in the process for Deloach and he did not have a childhood favorite, but South Carolina and their in-state rival, Clemson have done enough to become early favorites for the Peach State playmaker.

The relationship he has with the South Carolina coaches combined with the way they compare him to Skai Moore has put them in a good spot.

It is similar with Clemson, a school he visited in the middle of January.

"My relationship with the Clemson coaches is great too," said Deloach. "I am talking to coach Todd Bates and coach Brent Venables almost every day, so I like them a lot. They have talked to me about what I could do in their defense, how they would use me and I like the atmosphere up there.

"I have been there for a Junior Day and a game and I feel comfortable there."

Deloach had a top two, and Clemson and South Carolina are still high on his list, but that was before he visited Auburn the weekend before Signing Day.

Those Tigers made a move.

"Auburn made their way up there with Clemson and South Carolina," said Deloach. "I spent time with coach [Kevin] Steele and coach T-Will (Travis Williams) and they told me how I would fit into their defense as a MONEY linebacker.

"I got to see the way the players live, what they are provided with, how they don't have to walk far to class and the facilities. Those things stood out to me on the visit."

It is obvious that visits are important and there are more visits on the way. We mentioned the one to Ohio State on February 16. Deloach will then visit Michigan the next day and Alabama a week later on February 24.

It seems like the recruiting process has gone from 0-60 over night for Deloach, but he is taking it all in stride and he is going to go at his own pace. The offers are coming fast and furious, but he sees the big picture and he knows his decision is still way down the road.

"I am not really thinking about committing or anything yet. This has been like a blur the last month or so. I have not had a lot of time to see a lot of schools and to build relationships yet.

"I am probably going to take my official visits during the season, then commit sometime after that. I am not in a rush."

SBNation's Bud Elliott put in a bunch of CBs this morning. He's got a solid track record especially for guys in southeast. Here's ones of note, unfortunately not many for AU...

5* C Clay Webb --> Bama

4* WR Devonta Lee --> LSU

4* RB Derrian Brown --> Auburn

5* LB Owen Pappoe --> UGA

4* LB/DE Kevin Harris --> Clemson

Also a big reason we are in the thick of it w/ Anderson. Chip is his lead recruiter for us.

Well I am just warning you, it's gonna happen this cycle. Dabo doesn't oversign 85. He has like 20 or so seniors this year plus some open schollies. They also expect some transfers. It's gonna be a big class for them
I Forgot about the new rules passed last April. No team can have more than 5 count backs now so the max Clemson or any team can take now is 30.

Ok so 30 then... My point is Clemson is expecting a larger class this cycle and considering how well they have recruited recently and fact we cross paths more than I like with them that will be something to watch in this next recruiting cycle
