Rankings update: The Opening Atlanta (247)
quote:
The Opening Atlanta regional was a camp bubbling over with talent and a lot of prospects took advantage of the opportunity to earn rankings bumps on 247Sports. Below we break down some of the bigger movers.

quote:
Greg Emerson, DL – The Jackson, Tenn. native was really effective in 1on1s as a 296-pounder but for him to test as well as he did at that size (4.84 40 yard dash) was really eye-popping. Emerson is raw but he's really gifted. He's now ranked as the nation's No. 3 defensive tackle and the No. 27 player in the nation.
Wish we could get in on this guy. He was a monster this weekend

quote:
Trey Hill, OG – Jamaree Salyer is ranked as the nation's top offensive guard but Hill looked awfully close to that last Sunday. The Georgia native with the Crystal Ball pointing towards Athens has elevated his rating from 94 to 95 and is now the No. 51 player overall.

quote:
Harold Joiner, ATH – He's listed as a running back but athlete amy be the more apt descriptor. At 6-foot-4, 218 pounds, Joiner was one of the truly rare specimens walking around in Atlanta last weekend. The Birmingham native is now ranked No. 54 overall.
Big time bump for him. He's now a composite 4*

quote:
JJ Peterson, LB – This kid is returning kickoffs for touchdown as a linebacker on film at Georgia power Colquitt County. When we saw him in person, he checked out in a big way and now he's moved up to No. 63 in the country overall.

quote:
Channing Tindall, LB – He plays with his hand in the dirt for his high school team but when our team saw the South Carolina native work out in space as a linebacker – his college position – we were sold on Tindall. He earned an invite to The Opening Finals and tested better than anyone in attendance. He's now ranked No. 137 in the country.
Will visit soon

quote:
Taiyon Palmer, CB – Duke looks to be getting a steal out of Georgia. The Blue Devil commit showed really good burst and explosiveness, tested really well and has good size. He's now ranked as the No. 162 player in the country.

quote:
Azeez Ojulari, WDE – He plays a 3-4 defensive end role for his high school team but he's more of a true edge player. He certainly has that kind of athleticism. Ojulari – whose Friday offer from Oklahoma is by far his biggest – is a 6-4, 224 pounder who runs a 4.7 40 and absolutely gets after the quarterback. He's now ranked No. 167 in the country.

quote:
Zakoby McClain, OLB – One of my personal favorite players in the entire 2018 class, McClain is an undersized linebacker in the Sean Spence mold that is a beast on film. In camp though he's just as good and his effort in the Cat & Mouse drill was really impressive. He's now ranked No. 169 nationally.
On campus right now playing dodgeball based off T-WILL's Twitter account

quote:
Richard Jibunor, ATH – A raw, do-it-all type of athlete with length and a lot of quick twitch to him, Jibunor is starting to blow up on the recruiting trail with Notre Dame the most recent offer to add to the likes of Alabama and Auburn. He was very good in Atlanta and has entered the Top247 for his efforts.

quote:
Christian Meadows, OG – The Florida State commit is now listed as a guard instead of a tackle but we really liked his power and ability to finish on the inside. He's made the move from high three-star to a four-star.

OT Christian Armstrong is no longer a 4* but has fallen to a 3*. Apparently he struggled in Atlanta. That's in 247's rankings not the composite

Lots of stuff happening today with lots of big visitors. Will link tonight when I get time but KN just reported 4* LB Zakoby McClain has AU as leader now and sounds like we pulled ahead by alot. Thinks if things keep up will end up a Tiger

Tigers offer California LB, visit possible (247)
quote:
Auburn offered Solomon Tuliaupupu, one of the top linebackers on the west coast, Friday evening.
The offer came from Tiger linebackers coach Travis Williams during a lengthy phone conversation.
Tuliaupupu, who plays at famed Santa Ana Mater Dei High, is the No. 3 inside backer and No. 58 overall recruit in the 247Sports Composite.
Two of Tuliaupupu's teammates -- 4-star offensive tackle Tommy Brown and 2019 standout quaterback JT Daniels -- will visit Auburn on April 20.
We have learned it's possible Tuliaupupu could join them.
Last fall, AuburnUndercover.com spoke with Tuliaupupu in California. He expressed interest in Auburn at that time.
That said, Southern California is the heavy Crystal Ball favorite.
