That's public knowledge that LSU was having an in home with Chase Tonight and he wouldn't be in Auburn until tomorrow.

Knowing Bama this will be another Philon deal where the kid thinks he is going to Bama and they pull the offer about 10 minutes before the kids High School ceremony. We will take someone else by then and he gone.

JLee's WR FWIW

-Very possible AU steals JaMarr Chase from LSU
-At least 1 source close to Chase feels AU has a better chance to get him than LSU

-Source close to Langham feels it's very likely AU gets him

-AU could land all 3 OVs in the class

-Tannor looks to be AU

-Likes AU's chances better w/ Tannor & Langham than w/ Walker

-All signs point to Ross choosing Bama

-Very surprised if Wonnum doesn't pick SCe

-Doubts AU beats Texas for Anderson

Dear god please be right JLee. A finish of Chase, Gouraige, Langham and Tannor would be too amazing that I don't wanna think about it too much yet

Tennessee 247 basically said last night that it's down to AU & TEN for Walker. Vols probably have the lead but AU has made a big push & they don't think they are out of the woods yet

NSD could be epic or depressingly disappointing

Auburn recruiting: Tigers to host three key 4-star prospects on official visits (SECCountry)
quote:

Auburn’s last official visit weekend is filled with star power.

There will be three official visitors on campus for the final weekend before National Signing Day. All three are 4-star prospects. Two of the three are ranked inside the top-100 prospects in the country. Take a look at the three recruits who will be on campus for the last official visits of the 2018 cycle.

SEC Country gives the latest on each below.

4-star OT Richard Gouraige, Tampa, Fla.
4-star WR Ja’Marr Chase, Metairie, La.
4-star DL Malik Langham, Huntsville, Ala.

Gouraige (No. 81 prospect nationally) is the big recruiting win of the weekend for Auburn.

The Tigers have been battling all week to bring him up on an official visit. He has been scheduled to take one previously, but backed out because of the offensive line coaching change. Auburn took a few in-home visits with new offensive line coach J.B. Grimes, which has gotten the Tigers back in contention. The last time Gouraige visited Auburn was for the Iron Bowl, and he left with majorly positive impressions of the Tigers.

Chase (No. 84 prospect nationally) will make his first visit to the Plains.

He has been recruited by wide receivers coach Kodi Burns extensively throughout the process. Chase hasn’t visited Auburn, but it says a lot that Chase will take his final official visit to Auburn based on that relationship with Burns. Chase has a track record of committing to programs after one visit. Kansas and Florida have both grabbed Chase’s commitment during his recruitment following a single visit. LSU remains the favorite, however.

Chase’s official visit will start Saturday.

Langham (No. 314 prospect nationally) is an interesting prospect to track.

Auburn didn’t get involved in this recruitment until late. The Tigers offered on Jan. 19. Gus Malzahn quickly went to Hunstville, Ala., for an in-home visit. It was enough to convince Langham to alter his official visit schedule. Langham replaced his Tennessee official visit with an Auburn official visit this weekend. Even though Alabama is the trendy pick, Auburn can’t be ignored give the ground it has made up in two weeks.

Auburn recruiting: Tigers prepare for star-studded junior day (SECCountry)
quote:

Auburn’s three official visitors won’t be the only important prospects on campus this weekend.

The Tigers will have 40-plus recruits from the 2019 and 2020 classes visiting for the first junior day of the new recruiting cycle. SEC Country has reported a few throughout the week, but here is a much more firm list of expected visitors. There will likely be prospects who visit unexpectedly or recruits who change their plans and can’t make it. But this is a good place to start.

The recruits are broken into two sections: offered and not offered.

IDK if he's an idiot but he doesn't do near the work Keith & Ben Wolk do. My guess is not as much as MM or JC either.

For example. He had a thread with "Breaking News" the last day or so that Barnes was not going to OV AU. Well Barnes eliminated AU 2 weeks ago which both Keith & Ben reported then.
