KN says Mathew Hill is on the way. I would be shocked if he didn't commit

Also Jibunor not expected anymore

To give some positive news here's a few names that have made it: Justyn Ross (with his mom), Coynis Miller, Asa Martin, Kearis Jackson, Andres Fox, Jamie Sherwood, Michael Harris, Christian Armstrong and Trey Hill. There's more obviously but those so are important names

KN says Jalyn Armour-Davis is in Bama today. Think that fight is pretty much over

KN says doesn't think Juanyeh Thomas will pull trigger today. That's in line with Thomas telling SECCountry he wants to wait till August so he can visit all his top schools

Apparently we made a big move with Michael Harris might be even with Ohio State now. Plans to have decision after visiting Ohio state in a few weeks

He might not? camp at Bama tomorrow. Doesn't like how he's been treated. Come to AU and treat them poorly for the next 3-4 years lol

Sounds like Provens doesn't like athlete tag. AU might want him on defense but he wants to play RB

what in the hell went wrong with Armour-Davis? I thought we were the clear favorite. Guess Bama gets who they want and we get the leftovers.

For once they can actually use the depth chart pitch. Didn't sign any CBs last class and probably gonna lose their two starters this year. When he cut them from his first list they doubled down and it's worked. Bottom line is always gonna be hard to beat them out for top instate talent until we start winning more consistently

Alabama took zero CB in the 2017 class. It really shouldn't be a surprise the best corner in the state would want to go there.

Lots of 247 VIP articles on visitors. Will post either today or tomorrow whenever I get a chance. Sounds like we lead for Matthew Hill, Shedrick Jackson, Juanyeh Thomas and Andres Fox. We are a close #2 for JJ Peterson and Channing Tindall. Have made a big run for Kyler McMichael but Clemson could be hard to beat there. Jamien Sherwood has become possibly our #1 S target if not close to the top. Jalen Cunningham no longer hates AU but he ain't signing with us.

As for the three big instate visitors: Justyn Ross, Coynis Miller & Asa Martin. Sounds like it went real well with Ross, he plans to visit again later this week. Garner is selling Miller hard on playing early but I still think he's all Bama. Personally I think we get Martin as he keeps talking about finding the right system fit

Something of note as well is former Bama commit 4* RB Dameon Pierce is visiting this weekend. With Master Teague trending UGA (possibly could become Bama target as well after balling out at their camp) we might make Pierce a priority

Without a doubt, this was the most uneventful BCW ever.

And Saban leaves. As long as he's there we will be the 2nd choice at best amongst the majority of in state prospects.

Third time we haven't gotten commits at BCW so not unprecedented but ya nothing too crazy happened

We are going to get killed with the early signing period.

Auburn closes the deal late every year.

Really interested to see how it affects the flow of recruiting cycle. Quite a few targets are announcing in August this year right before season so curious to see if that becomes a trend

Big Cat Recap: A player-by-player look (247)
quote:

Auburn's Big Cat Weekend is over and the question on everyone's mind is this: Was it a success?

The Tigers entered the weekend with six committments and exited it with the same number. Yet, there are a few things to note here.

For starters, Auburn never has landed more than two commits during Big Cat. A year ago, for example, the Tigers picked up only one.

Second, Auburn does appear close to landing a few of the prospects who were on hand.

Ultimately, though, the success of Big Cat won't be measured by day-of commits, but by how many who attended the event end up in the 2018 class.

History shows us several will.

But let's face it, time will tell.

In the meantime, here's a player-by-player look at where things stand in our opinion with every 2018 Big Cat attendee.
