I called their game in the Corky Kell last year against Milton. I was the SJ so I was on Buford's sideline and had to get the team and bring them out prior to kickoff.
Just watching them walk out of the locker room, just wave after wave of kids. Pushing 100. My God it was a sight to see, there are college programs that don't have the #'s that they do. They looked like a college team in every facet. One of the greatest joys I've had in 13 years of officiating football. It actually gave me goosebumps watching that. And I've called my share of big games so to have that reaction was saying something. And it was a really good game to boot. 26-21 Buford and Milton had a shot to win it at the end but the punt returner for Milton muffed the kick and Buford pounced on it; game over.
And that was the 1st game for Buford's new coach. He replaced Simpson. Really nice guy and easy to work with.

Stewart, the NG coach, is a trip BTW. I actually had to wait w/the team at the top of the tunnel to bring them out on the field at MBS before their game in the Corky Kell in '18 b/c he was taking a dump. It was great.
