Atlanta just broke another MLS record by making Ezequiel Barco the most expensive transfer in MLS history. Atlanta just bought Barco from Independiente in Argentina for $15m + a percentage of a future sale. The previous record was the $10m Toronto paid Roma for Michael Bradley.

Barco will most likely play on the left wing, and is widely regarded as one of the best U19 players on the planet.

With training for the 2018 season starting in a week or two, it's time to GET HYPED!

I'm not a soccer guy by any means, but it's refreshing to see a local team do everything necessary to win now. They are making a fan of me, and again, I don't even really like soccer all that much. I went to the playoff game last year and was almost immediately turned off after seeing another Atlanta chokejob. That shootout was embarrassing. This signing is bringing me back.

Then you're in luck. As an 18 year old, Barco was the player chosen to take the penalty shot in the Copa Sudamericana final.
