Ozzie led off with a stand up double, then Acuna grounded out moving him to third with only the one out and Freddie up to bat. Then Freeman grounded out too but got Albies in, Braves lead by 1.

McCarthy gave up a run and another came in due to an error in the 2nd, if that sounds bad at least he stranded 2 more... could've been worse. 2 to 1 Giants.

He gave up the 3rd and 4th and 5th and 6th runs in the 3rd inning, trying to aspire to Folty numbers I guess.

Bottom of the 3rd, Acuna's in scoring position for Freddie... he struck out but Markakis drove him in with a double, 6 to 2 Giants.

When McCarthy gave up the 7th run in the 4th inning Snitker yanked him and brought in Sims with a man on first. Sims was pitching when the Giants got their 8th and 9th runs.

11 to 2 final score, but at least the Mets lost too. By a far more respectable amount but that doesn't help you gain in the standings. The Phillies gained a game though, they're in 2nd now. Good luck to Soroka tomorrow against the same team (he'll probably need it).

Soroka didn't give up any runs in the first even though he walked two they were left stranded. I guess it's the best Braves starting pitching performance vs the Giants I've see this weekend.
