This Braves team has a lot of positives....sadly the bullpen is not one of them.

They do, but the bullpen is minor league at best. Not much management can do but dumpster dive until money is freed up this offseason to stay below our Liberty Media small market salary cap. I thought getting Brach was a nice addition with some potential.

Perhaps we need to fire every coach we have that's associated with pitching. I refuse to believe this many pitchers can be this bad at their jobs.

Braves lead will likely trimmed to 5.5 games with 7 more to be played against the Phillies.

We aren't a playoff team in any other division in baseball right now, we've been in our own bubble for a while. Good teams just keep embarrassing us.

To be fair, we’d have a lot more wins if our bullpen knew how how to pitch. We need a major overhaul down there.

The problem with the pen is that we went into the year not wanting to spend (and probably not being able to spend due to the Kemp trade). Part of the rationale was that we were "still a year away", so we didn't acquire any real bullpen solutions. And to get anything meaningful at the trade deadline would have required us parting ways with prospects that we weren't quite ready to give up yet because "we are still a year way from being a legit threat in the playoffs.".
This year is a good example on why you don't put too much stock into perceived timelines in baseball.
