In the 7th Swanson sac flied Ozzie home, 2-1 Braves! Newk had a good day and he's getting taken out for Carle.

In regards to Ender's quotes last year, this team reminds me of the Carolina teame that went to 3 straight CWS finals, and the mantra BATTLE and just have fun.

Carle had a great 7 pitch inning in the 7th, now they're bringing in Venters for the bottom of the 8th. Uh oh he's not been that great the past week or so. I'd rather see Sobotka, Wright or Biddle out there.

Venters went out there and got 3 up 3 down in the 8th.... to be fair to him those were two pretty tough teams he was giving up runs to lately (Ariz/Boston). If Minter pitches the 9th, btw, he hasn't been doing that great either hope the drop in competition helps him too.

Braves win 4-1! Glad to see them do well against the NL west on this trip. Minter shut them down in the 9th, and Newk got the W. Nice hitting out there by Kurt, Freddie and Ozzie tonight... (nobody else got one).

5 game lead on the Phillies. That's the biggest division lead in the NL

Didn't see the game last night, fell asleep, but good to see we beat a team we should beat, especially a place we have traditionally struggled.

Yeah Chip said that was the first time the Braves won a series in Phoenix in the past 6 years. Now if they could only take down the notorious Petco.

I'll be disappointed if we don't sweep SF. That lineup is horrendous, and we aren't facing Bumgarner.
Funny thing about Bumgarner...he has been very very mediocre in NLDS and NLCS games, but he has flat out dominated and been unhittable in two WC games and five WS games.
