I'm not convinced that anyone really knows for a fact what was on Julie's mind. But if I had to guess, I would say it had a whole lot to do with what was on Jerry's.

Let's be honest. We let Jerry run the show last time. The mentality that Texas recruiting is vastly more important than overall resume is what got us to let Jerry hire Chaggie.

From what I was told Chaggie was a safe 4 year hire with ties to Texass.
Although we need a recruiting presence in Texass, the whole Texass BS is overblown.
Hire a damn winner that can recruit, IDGAF where the dude is from.

On top of that is it even smart to try and judge a coach based on their record vs a league they have never even been a head coach in? That just seems extremely short sighted

When JCP said that she was blown away by Chaggie's interview.... she didn't mention that the interview consisted of Jerry calling her and telling her that Chaggie was the hire.
