Of course he was. His text messages were pretty damning.

And the ncaa didnt exonerate Briles. If that was the case, he would have been right back to a P5 job. It cleared him of any specific NCAA violation while clearly pointing out the shady shite he was involved in went well beyond the NCAAs authority to investigate.

That, plus the text messages, buried him.

Obv there has always been some cooperation between some athletic departments and local police, but the Baylor stuff was really next level. We're not talking making some public intox and DUIs disappear.
