He's listed at 6-6 205, so probably a shade under 6'5.

Uter's best position is likely OLB, and he's faster than Edwards. If we can get both, we'd take both.

eta: Kevante Lowery out of Smackover is a poor man's Uter. I think we may end up offering him a greyshirt or preferred walk on even though he's worthy of a scholarship as long his grades and ACT are kosher.

Speaking of Uter, who is from Georgia, Taver Johnson is quietly becoming a pretty good recruiter.

Do work.

Put a jar on the counter at the tan salons, use the donations to create a Hawgeye scholly for Smackover athletes to attend the prestigious flagship university of the state, then use tan salon to pimp out chubby freshmen with low self esteem.

He only coaches CB's. Ash has the Safeties. Outside of Tevin Mitchel's open field tackling ability, I thought the CB's improved a lot fundamentally over what we have seen the last few years prior.

Will Hines getting hurt didnt help. He improved quite a bit I thought. Where we really got gashed is where the coverage called for CB to take underneath and the Safeties to cover over the top. The safeties seemed to cheat up in case of run to help the LBrs and they were almost always 2 steps behind where they needed to be.

So whatever happened to Vin Ascolese? He was the kid that hogville blew up over right? The one who wrote a poem?

The deal with his NCAA clearance is where he attended classes wasn't where he played iirc. The school he actually attended was some sort of alternative charter school that had accreditation issues and many of his core classes weren't a part of his state's approved curriculum, hence 1/3 to 1/2 of his HS credits were basically trash.

You'd think Petrino would have been smart enough to look into something as important as that. Then again he just said he never had to check on attendance while he was at Arkansas. Just a POS. He truly has specialized knowledge, the man just needs to be the mad scientist OC and quit trying to lead a program when he has none of the skills required to be a leader or manage comprehensively.

I'm laying off Johnson honestly...

It's not his fault a senior safety doesn't understand over cover two in his fourth season.

I blame most on Willy Rob....over cover two is run for DBs starting in junior high...Bennett made 7th grader mistakes and I'm glad he is gone.

I'd like to see the DB's coached by the same guy. They need to be on the same page back there, and in the same meeting rooms and watching film together discussing what they see, how they'd react etc.

That seemed to help the D-line out when it was just Partridge instead of Bobby Allen and Porn Stache.

It sounds like we've lost a commitment. RD referenced us having 7 spots available the other day when based of our current commit list we should only have 6. Then Otis posted this on the 247 board today:

Otis Kirk 35187 posts

Right now they have 7 spots. I think I can address this more tomorrow, but right now they have 19 commitments.

My guess would either be Ravian Pierce because of his ACT issues or Sebastian Tretola because he wasn't accepted in to Arkansas. He's the only early enrollee that didn't show up this weekend.
