I think this is one of the gifts of being older, having played or knowing the game well (not saying I fit all of those).

You get a feel for games like these. Oklahoma was the equivalent last year. and was on my 'concern' list. They started the season strong, before losing to UTk, UTa, USC and Ole Miss and ending up at the bottom of the SEC.

But they beat Bama and it was the way Bama lost, 24-3.

The fact is, Saban's teams were always (yes, there was an exception or two) competitive. If his team lost, it was normally not a disaster.

Deboer has shown us with Okie, FSU and that horrible bowl game last year, it can happen. And no one can forget, Oklahoma's outcome haunted Bama into the post season.
