I agree. They shouldn't and I don't think they will. Just kept hearing all year people saying everyone wants to watch Ben Simmons in the NCAA tourney so I didn't know if they would pick them in the NIT over someone deserving just bc of Simmons.

Crazy, one of my lab instructors wrote this

Alabama expects more happy basketball locker rooms in the future

quote:

A victory over Ole Miss on Thursday night gave Alabama its first SEC tournament win since 2013.

Being eliminated by Kentucky, which proved an unfavorable matchup for the Crimson Tide three times this season, is nothing to be ashamed of although the coaching staff and fans would have preferred a more respectable final score, rather than the 85-59 decision.

“(Thursday) was a lot more fun in the locker room than (Friday) was, but I expect a lot of happy locker rooms in the future,” Alabama athletics director Bill Battle said in reference to the future of the program.

Last April, Battle helped convince Johnson to take his first college coaching job, pulling him away from ESPN and possible suitors from the NBA.

There have been immediate returns on the investment.

In year one under Johnson, Alabama earned four victories over top-25 opponents. In the previous four seasons, Alabama was 0-18 versus AP top-25 opponents.

Alabama set a new home attendance record with an average of 13,110 fans a game. There were five sellouts this season, the most since 2006-07 when it happened six times.

Great article! It really is a very exciting time for Bama basketball. I can't wait to see what's in store for our future.

I don't think we'll ever get that bad lol. But seriously, I would consider just making the NCAA tourney next year a success. I think a realistic goal for next year's team would be to make the NCAA tourney and win a game.

be in the top 4 of the SEC going into the tournament and having a seed no higher than 7 for the dance.

Retin Gone...that sucks. But, four 4-Star Players are joining this roster (Nick King, A'rmond Davis, Dazon Ingram, & Braxton Key). I want to make March Madness. I think that is a realistic goal.

I am sitting here watching Michigan State/Purdue right now and its so much fun! I am salivating for Bama the next few seasons to play in games like this!!

I'd say we would make it for sure next year with Ferguson but I don't know without him. Guys are going to really have to improve.

Hopefully we'll bring in a good grad transfer or two who can provide some much needed help. That's the best way to improve dramatically.

Oregon is a #1 seed. We lost by 4 to them.....oh man if we could've finished that game, I think we'd be in the tourney today

I might be wrong, but wasn't that one of the games that Hale missed?

or the loss vs AU
we had LSU beaten at our place
a 1 point loss to Arky

If we win any 1 of these 3 games, we are in March Madness damnit!!!!!!!

But we will be there VERY soon, I really feel that.

LSU declined to play in any postseason tourneys. That should about guarantee we get an NIT bid. If they leave us out, somethings wrong

JJ must know they are a dysfunctional team with no heart and that is why he is declining. No one should turn down the opportunity to practice another 2 weeks.
