I would toss in that Caleb Downs, 5 games into his career, is playing at 3rd ...maybe 2nd team all-sec level.

Caleb Downs plays like a 28 year old all pro. 3 tackles in the 4th quarter. Doesn't sound like a big deal until you remember the circumstances.

After getting screened in coverage by the umpire recovers for sure tackle on Jake Johnson. Next play Brasswell blocks FG.
Final drive, after 2 phantom penalties for 25 free yards
Ainias Smith stopped two yards short of a TD by a few toes. Guess who?
2 and change, 26-17 Bama
Sure tackle on Johnson 1 on 1 in the open field again at the 2 yard line causing A&M to burn a timeout then settle for a FG.
There's playing football and then there's making plays when your team needs every one of them.

After watching Quinn Ewers have all the time in the world in our earlier matchup vs Texas it was so damn refreshing seeing our D front dominate.
I had a good feeling about it after watching A&M’s O line play but regardless it was glorious to watch.
Those back to back sacks were a thing of beauty…a sack might be my favorite play in general when it comes to college football…it doesn’t get much better seeing Alabama destroy the opposing QB.
