Flip No. 2 of the night for the Crimson Tide. Alabama flipped its second Texas A&M commit of the 2019 recruiting cycle, this time in 4-star cornerback Jeffery Carter.
The news comes just a couple of weeks after 4-star inside linebacker Christian Harris changed his pledge from the Aggies to the Crimson Tide after officially visiting Tuscaloosa for the Iron Bowl.
Carter, a one-time Tide lean, picked Texas A&M back in the summer over Alabama and Oklahoma, another program he’s been committed to in the past, however didn’t shut down communication with the Tide staff.
This weekend, the Mansfield (Texas) Legacy product returned to the Capstone for his official visit, the fourth time he’s been on campus in 2018. Carter last visited T-Town for the Mississippi State game in November. He also attended the Champions Cookout last June as well as a spring trip to campus.
The All-American cornerback joins a No. 1-ranked recruiting class that consists of Daxton Hill, Christian Williams, DeMarcco Hellams, and Brandon Turnage in the secondary.
At 6-feet, 186 pounds, Carter is rated the No. 11 cornerback and the No. 91 overall player in the country, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Depends on if we lose anyone currently committed.
I'd venture we lose at least one between Christian Williams and Turnage. Turnage is on campus right now so I assume Williams is out.

Turnage would be my guess. Christian Williams is going to Alabama. Daphne alums Yeldon, Anderson, and Kenny King would disown him.
