** Pleasant Grove safety Myles Mason is developing a good relationship with Auburn secondary coach Greg Brown. Auburn is recruiting him a safety. He says Alabama and Auburn are recruiting him the hardest. Mason has a top five of those two, LSU, Clemson and Florida State and is just waiting for the right moment to commit.

** Seemed like Gatewood made it a point to hang around Ross, one of the top WR to come out of the state in a while. Looks like an Auburn-Alabama battle with Ross.
It sure would be nice to have a QB committed that could help recruit Ross like Auburn has in Gatewood.
We're getting outworked all around this cycle.

** Mountain Brook RB Harold Joiner was decked out in Auburn gear and told reporters that Auburn and LSU are still leading. He had said that Alabama, Georgia (when offer comes) and Ole Miss are also in his "unofficial top five."

** Four-star Jackson-Olin DL Coynis Miller was asked which players he likes to watch or model his game after and the first two names he rattled off were Da'Ron Payne and Quinnen Williams of Alabama, if that means anything. Looks like Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Georgia, Ole Miss would currently be top five but he wants to make more visits. Miller should be at the Alabama A-Day.
Well that has to be at least a little bit of good news for us.

** Memphis OL Jerome Carvin made his first trip. Seemed like he had fun. Visiting Alabama soon. Not terribly close to narrowing things down. Auburn likes him as a guard.

** Lithonia, Ga., three-star defensive end Caleb Tannor is starting to blow up. Auburn has offered him recently along with Alabama. Those two and Georgia are three sticking out, but he has more visits to make.

** Auburn QB commit Joey Gatewood says he's only going to play QB this year for his high school. He's very solid to Auburn, not taking any other schools and says he'll get Justyn Ross to join him.

** LaGrange, Ga., four-star linebacker King Mwikuta has Alabama as his leader, with Georgia and then Auburn behind him, but the 2019 linebacker was pleased with what he saw. He thinks he'll commit somewhere around this time next year.
Nice. He and JJ Peterson are close. We need to hit Kirby hard and steal these two studs out of his backyard.

Florida State now has 3 commits from Grayson High School all in 2019 class. Same high school Owen Pappoe plays at and they leader for him as well. Pretty crazy
We are going to lose Pappoe to Florida State.

Xavier Williams, WR, Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Prep
Williams is the latest prospect to commit to Alabama all the way back in January. Rated the No. 15 receiver and the No. 78 overall player in the country, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite, Williams is also the highest-rated commitment in the class. The South Florida native is poised to become the next Tide sensation from the Sunshine State following in the footsteps of Amari Cooper, Calvin Ridley, and the soon-to-be freshman Jerry Jeudy. The 6-foot-0.5, 190-pounder continues to listen to other programs -- as is often the case with early commitments -- and plans to take a string of visits this spring and summer. New Tide special teams and tight ends coach and South Florida recruiter Joe Pannunzio will takeover in holding on to the elite talent.

Dameon Pierce, RB, Bainbridge (Ga.)
The 5-foot-11, 205-pounder is Alabama's longest-standing commitment pledging to the program last summer. Pierce, the No. 6 running back and the No. 128 overall player, had a strong junior season, at one point rushing for 330 yards on 50 carries and four scores in a single game. Pierce's coach recently spoke with BamaOnLine reaffirming his stars back's commitment to the Tide: "He remains steadfast on Alabama, but you know, he’s a kid, so I don’t know how that’s going to change," Bainbridge coach Jeff Littleton said. Pierce may see other campuses this spring and summer, as multiple teams like Auburn, Georgia, Florida and Florida State remain in pursuit.
