Four-star defensive back Jalen Green was at TCU this weekend for a campus visit and a look at one of the Honed Frogs’ practices. After sitting in to watch film with the coaching staff, he said that his visit was a good one and that he plans on being back again this offseason. Green was in Fort Worth with several teammates from his 7-on-7 team and had a good feeling following a visit. “It was just a good environment,” he said. “It was really good spending time with the players.”
He and Isaac Taylor-Stuart are both 6'2". It'd be nice to land both of them.

Rivals250 safety Josh Proctor out of Owasso, Okla. does not have a set group of top schools, but listed Alabama, Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma and North Carolina as five programs that he is particularly high on right now. He made his most recent college visit to Oklahoma the weekend of March 25 to see a spring practice. North Carolina is the most recent school to offer and he noted that even though they are primarily known as a basketball school, he has always been interested in their football program. Proctor is not in a rush to make a decision and expects to take his recruitment into senior year.

Four-star quarterback Jalen Mayden is down to three schools, Louisville, Tennessee and Mississippi State, with a decision expected to come following his spring game in late May. Mayden hasn’t been to Louisville since the fall so the Cardinals don’t seem like a serious factor, but Mayden just returned from a visit to Mississippi State and raved about Starkville and said he plans to visit Tennessee in the next week or so. Right now it appears that the Bulldogs are the team to beat but the Vols will get one more shot to impress before he announces a decision.
His top group would be irrelevant if we offered.

One Alabama commit and three in-state class of 2019 recruits were recognized on Sunday for their performances at the Under Armour All-America Regional in Atlanta.
Jordan Davis, a 6-foot-6 Alabama defensive end commit, accepted an invitation to play in this year's Under Armour All-America game, which will be around Jan. 1 in Orlando.
Pinson Valley quarterback Bo Nix, Oxford offensive lineman Clay Webb and Hewitt-Trussville offensive lineman Pierce Quick earned invitations to the Future 50 showcase in Orlando around the same time frame. That event features top underclassmen recruits.
Two other recruits - Alpharetta, Ga., cornerback Jaycee Horn and Warner Robins, Ga., offensive lineman Trey Hill - earned invitations to the Under Armour All-America game. Alabama and Auburn have each offered Horn and Auburn has offered Hill.

Davis is huge.
Webb looks like a monster too.

ATLANTA, Ga. — The Georgia Bulldogs are standing out for one of Alabama’s best. That’s what Alfred Thomas, a four-star defensive lineman from Montgomery (Ala.) Lanier High, passed along Sunday at the Under Armour All-America Camp tour stop.
The 6’1, 270-pound defensive lineman won the lineman challenge — a series of speed, agility, and strength drills laid out in an obstacle course. It’s been an eventful spring for Thomas.
“Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, Southern Mississippi, and Louisville,” Thomas said when asked about new offers. Thomas is strongly considering all of his new offers.
Thomas doesn’t have an official top-eight yet, but said that he will have one out soon. He provided SB Nation with a preview.
“Georgia, Louisville, Missouri, and North Carolina are locks to make my top-eight,” Thomas said. But one school is standing out above the rest.
“Georgia is on top,” he confirmed. After visiting a week ago, Thomas has a better feel for the program.
“I love the environment, the team, they show the most love to me, and I enjoy watching them practice,” he said. “They have a good team this year, I hope they make noise this year.”
Thomas’ best relationships at Georgia are with coaches Glenn Schumann and Tray Scott.
“They tell me how I can fit right in. In their defense they can move me inside, move me outside, and put my in a good position to make plays. That’s what I am going to do.”
Thomas is still keeping his options open, especially when it comes to the in-state schools like Alabama and Auburn. He confirmed both would make his top group if they offer.
Thomas has plans to visit both the Tide and Tigers, along with a return visit to Georgia this spring, and he wants to commit over the summer.
Despite not having ideal size, Thomas is a good blend of athleticism, power, and leverage. He is capable of being a versatile piece of a defense.

If we offer his recruitment will completely change.

Well he posted about it so I guess it's not a secret, but his father died not too long ago.
Understandably his posting went way down. He may be dealing with some family stuff again.

Damn, I hate to hear that. I lost my dad when I was a kid. You never heal but you get stronger. I hope he's doing ok. I don't personally know any of you folks, but you kinda feel like you know the posters around here and I'd hate for anyone to get into a funk. Hopefully, he'll start posting again soon.

It's got to be rough for him.
My dad actually turned 63 today, but his twin brother passed away two years ago. My cousins had a rough go of it and they were all in their 30s.

I bet that was rough on your dad. I'm an only child so I don't even know what losing a sibling would be like, much less your twin. Damn
