We were on him early, but I saw an article a month or so ago where he said the communication had stopped after Napier left.

Warner Robins (Ga.) Houston County offensive lineman Trey Hill continued his dominant spring on the camp circuit with perhaps his best performance Sunday. Scout saw him lose just one rep throughout the bevy of one-on-one competition against a solid defensive line group, so it was little surprise to see the big man snag the game invitation. Hill is so strong once he gets his hands on the opponent and he ended most reps shortly after doing so, including multiple occasions in which he placed the pass rusher on the ground. There wasn't a more physical presence on the field at Northview High School. Hill holds a who's who list of offers, including perceived favorite Georgia, but doesn't appear close to a decision.

The rising senior, who holds more than 30 scholarship offers, was also impressive in his endurance, making plays on the football deep into the event when many of his counterparts elected to take the rest of the day off.

An Alabama Crimson Tide verbal commitment since December, Jordan Davis was a constant on the edge for offensive linemen all day long. He beat some with speed and others with the ability to stick his foot in the dirt and come back underneath. The Memphis (Tenn.) Southwind star, who is still considering SEC programs despite his pledge to Nick Saban and company, won maybe the prettiest rep of any defender on the day with a strong spin move to come up underneath a blocker who over set on him in anticipation of his ability to speed rush. Upon receiving his invitation, Davis elected to participate in the next Under Armour All-America Game.

Another week, another set of accolades for early Scout four-star quarterback Bo Nix. The Pinson (Ala.) Pinson Valley standout, who won positional MVP a week prior, was again the event's top passer despite being one of the younger competitors at the position. Nix has a calm about his game, which coupled with a strong arm and athleticism converts to consistency in this setting. He is on time, accurate and can change speeds on the football given the situation. The Auburn legacy visited campus over his spring break this past week along with stops at contenders Alabama, Georgia and Clemson.

Oxford (Ala.) standout Clay Webb is another Alabamian having a dominant 2017 to this point and he gets some more hardware for his effort. The four-star anchors as well as any interior linemen in the region and seems immovable if he gets his hands on defenders early in their pass rush. Webb also has above-average feet and can flex his leverage laterally when lining up at different positions. In-state Alabama and Auburn will be tough to ignore in the end, he told Scout Sunday.

Pierce Quick may have taken the most reps on Sunday in order to earn his spot at the Future 50 event. The eager Trussville (Ala.) Hewitt-Trussville standout excelled at offensive tackle with his length, measuring in at 6-foot-6 earlier in the day, and hands. He is a good athlete who can redirect against smaller defenders and he continues to improve his base power against bigger opponents. Quick has exploded on the recruiting scene with offers from all over the country, holding Alabama, Auburn, Georgia and Oregon in high regard, among others.

Lanier four-star 2018 prospect Alfred Thomas held his own against a stout offensive line all afternoon long before showing he was one of the most athletic trench talents at the entire event in taking home the Big Man Challenge crown. Defeating many prospects much smaller than he, Thomas was quick in his cuts and efficient in his movement throughout the event. Earlier in the day he named Georgia his public leader.
