Defensive Line
As per usual an Atlanta-area event, the defensive front has a bevy of talented prospects expected to compete. Two of the top four trench talents in the Peach State are slated to participate in Scout100 four-stars Brenton Cox (pictured above), who holds nearly every major regional offer, as well as interior standout Robert Cooper, who made an early pledge to the Florida State Seminoles. Fellow Georgia four-star defensive tackle Darnell Jefferies is also expected in the class of 2018.
Outside state lines, Tennessee is poised to make a splash led by four-star and top 10 defensive tackle Greg Emerson and Alabama Crimson Tide commitment Jordan Davis (video below). Alabama's top two defensive linemen and fellow four stars Coynis Miller, of Birmingham (Ala.) Jackson-Olin and Montgomery (Ala.) Lanier standout Alfred Thomas are expected. It will be Thomas' first known camp effort of the spring. He and Miller hold more than a dozen offers comprised of mostly SEC and ACC programs early on.
The class of 2019 will be well represented Sunday as well, particularly in the state of Georgia. A trio of early Scout four-stars in Travon Walker, King Mwikuta and Dante Walker are expected to compete. One of the state's top committed rising juniors, who impressed just last week at a separate event, is Florida State verbal commitment Tru Thompson. The Loganville (Ga.) Grayson standout will have many of his Ram teammates expected to hold their own at the event.

Linebackers
Linebacker prospects will be a mix of body types and skill sets on Sunday. Plenty with gaudy offer lists, like Tucker (Ga.) High's Michael Harris, Athens (Ga.) Christian's Richard Jibunor, South Carolina standout Khalid Jones and a pair of Alabama 2018 talents in La'Dedric Jackson and Jacquez Jones. Each of the aforementioned linebackers holds scholarship offers from two or three Power 5 conference representatives.
The hottest has to be Jibunor, who actually competed at defensive end and took home some hardware at a recent local event. Notre Dame jumped on board soon after. Jackson has had the hottest 2017, going from a relatively unknown prospect to one of Alabama's most coveted defenders. His SEC offer spree hit its highest mark when LSU came through for him. Will either in-state SEC school jump into the mix?
Among underclassmen, early four-star Owen Pappoe will be valued as a rising senior with the amount of big-time stages he has already competed well within. When the class of 2019 prospects rankings expand it will likely be a nice day for Pappoe, who already has a who's who offer list after emerging as a national recruit in middle school. Yes, you read that right. Name a top program, and it has jumped on board with the rising junior recruit.

Defensive Backs
The strongest group on the defensive list and maybe the entire event may be the secondary. All nine of the four-star defensive backs in the state of Georgia are expected to compete near home turf.
A couple of the top defensive back prospects from the Peach State have already made their commitments like four-star safety Derrik Allen, to Notre Dame, and Otis Reese, to Michigan. Other blue-chips like cornerbacks Myles Sims, Christopher Smith, Kyler McMichael, Tre Douglas, Jaycee Horn and Christian Tutt, along with safety Trey Dean, remain undeclared.
It's not all about Georgia, though, as several out-of-state standouts are also expected to compete. A two-way star in Alabama, four-star Pleasant Grove (Ala.) standout Myles Mason will make his spring camp debut and he's not the only well-traveled defensive back expected. The highest volume position expected among defenders will feature cornerbacks and safeties from the state of Florida, North Carolina and feature a four-star Volunteer State star in Brendon Harris. The Chattanooga (Tenn.) Baylor rising senior holds well over a dozen scholarship offers including reigning national champion Clemson and inaugural College Football Playoff victor Ohio State among many others.

The headliners of the quarterback group scheduled to compete on Sunday are four-star Ohio State commit Emory Jones from Franklin (Ga.) Heard County and four-star Texas A&M commit Cade Fortin from Suwanee (Ga.) North Gwinnet.
Other 2018 quarterbacks to watch are Montgomery (Ala.) Lanier's James Foster, Columbia (S.C.) Ben Lippen's Trad Beatty and Valdosta (Ga.) Lowndes' Michael Barrett, who holds offers from LSU, Maryland and Georgia Tech among others.
There will be some talented underclassman competing. The list includes four-star 2019 Pinson (Ala.) Pinson Valley's Bo Nix and 2019 Monroe (N.C.) Sun Valley's Sam Howell, as well as 2020 prospects Harrison Bailey out of Marrietta (Ga.) and Max Johnson out of Watkinsville (Ga.) Oconee County, who will be two of the best in their class.

Kennesaw Mountain's Ryland Goede and 2020 College Park (Ga.) Woodard Academy's Arik Gilbert, who already has offers from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Michigan and Tennessee among others.

Catholic offensive tackle Cade Mays, who is the 18th-ranked prospect in the country and committed to Tennessee, is the headliner. Two other four-star 2018 offensive tackles -- Dylan Wonnum from Tucker (Ga.) and Christian Armstrong from Warner Robbins (Ga.) -- are prospects to watch.
The offensive guard spot looks like it will be impressive. Trey Hill from Warner Robbins (Ga.) Houston County, James Ohonba from Stockbridge (Ga.) Woodland, Christian Meadows from Montezuma (Ga.) Macon County and Marcus Jenkins from Montgomery (Ala.) Park Crossing are all four-star prospects. Others at the position to keep an eye on are Stone Mountain (Ga.) Stephenson's Jalil Irvin, who is committed to Auburn, and Snellville (Ga.) Brookwood's Casey Holman, who is committed to Duke.
Rounding out the list is a talented group of underclassman that includes 2019 Oxford (Ala.) center Clay Webb, 2019 Trussville (Ala.) Hewitt-Trussville offensive tackle Pierce Quick, 2019 Hogansville (Ga.) Callaway offensive tackle Keiondre Jones and 2020 Norcross (Ga.) Greater Atlanta Christian offensive tackle Myles Hinton.

- Gators want to sign 2 RBs and 4* Asa Martin is one of their top targets. UF seems confident that they can beat out AU for him even after upcoming A-Day visit
- UF is feeling real good about landing 4* OT William Barnes who is thought to have top group of UF, UNC & AU. Apparently he is real close with former Apopka OL Martez Ivey and is real comfortable with Florida
- Interesting note on 4* WR Jacob Copeland. Stampini says that even tho he names Clemson his leader they already have a WR commit and with them taking such a small class don't have room for him at this time. I think that helps AU out more than UF personally
- They are confirming as well that 4* LB JJ Peterson has Bama in front right now
- We were once the team to beat for 4* CB Myles Sims but once McGriff left that changed. Sounds like UF running #2 with Michigan #1

Foster has Georgia No. 2 behind Missouri, but the Bulldogs are looking to get some momentum this spring with the dual-threat quarterback. Look for him to return to Athens, Ga., where Kirby Smart and Jim Chaney can strengthen the relationship with Foster and his mother.
Foster has to throw in camp to get a committable offer.

Teague has many similar characteristics to Nick Chubb, which could bode very well for the Bulldogs as they attempt to replace Chubb and Sony Michel. Look for Teague to return to Georgia soon.
No mention of flipping Dameon Pierce.

Georgia has maintained momentum with Cox for months, but Alabama and Ohio State are not going down without a fight. The Bulldogs will be hard to beat in the end for the 6-foot-5, 248-pound edge rusher.

Tannor is one that Georgia is excited to see this summer at camp. If he impresses, he could join the Bulldogs' commitment list. Cox played alongside him at Miller Grove before transferring to Stockbridge last year.

Florida State is the Crystal Ball favorite here, but Mitchell has visited Georgia three times in the last year and plans to return. With a decision not likely until December, the five-star could get back to Athens, Ga. several times before a commitment is made.
